About

Wolfrom Engineering is a structural consulting engineering firm that commits itself to the Clients’ ideal solution. As every project is unique, Wolfrom Engineering focuses on being responsive to the needs of the project, listening to the Client and incorporating several decades of engineering experience in delivering the optimal solution. We are committed towards helping Clients with guidance, direction and our expertise in realizing and building their potential.

Since our inception in 1981, we have demonstrated controlled responsible growth by providing creative and pragmatic structural solutions to our varied client base. Wolfrom Engineering has a long and respected history of openness to new and innovative approaches to design while maintaining respect for proven structural strategies. From scales ranging from high rise towers in all materialities to restaurants on frozen rivers; from adaptive reuse of existing heritage buildings to implementing new materials and construction techniques, Wolfrom Engineering has seized opportunities to innovate when necessary in the pursuit of interesting and provocative work.

The open approach of Wolfrom Engineering matches the open office environment where junior associates are able to informally approach senior engineers to exchange ideas and resolve technical issues while still fostering independent project management. This approach follows to our work, where design engineers provide contract administration whenever possible, minimizing response times and providing continuity of design ownership.

Working on a variety of scales maintains consistent grounding to our practice, and is crucial on a job that constantly strives for balance. We ensure that staff take the conceptual understanding from these broad opportunities and provide them with the time necessary for training as industry specialists in areas of their specific interests. This continued desire for learning drives our collaborative work, and thus our clients’ goals forward. We are fluent in BIM modelling, 2d cad, as well as a number of finite element modelling software programs. Staff gain valuable software experience through both project work and third party learning resources.
