The fluid materiality of cast in place concrete creates seamless connections between angled planes of wall and roof surfaces throughout, encompassing twenty shower units, generous washroom facilities, informal plazas, and the hidden mechanical workings necessary. Concrete was also chosen for its inherent durability, and also due to the proximity of the surrounding gravel pits that deems it a local material.

A hidden green roof that helps filter and slow down rainwater, solar panels, and embedded radiant heat are a few of the green technologies implemented into the building design.
